[YEA]  03/08/2007: Debbie from Lincoln County, OK writes: "I have had MRSA for almost 2 yrs. At present, I have at least 40 boils/blisters in various stages on my body. Since beginning the turmeric Monday evening, I've noticed slow, but steady improvement. I am hopeful that turmeric will finally be my answer to healing. I will post again as I make progress."

[YEA]  03/01/2007: Jody from Rice, TX writes: "I started this journey while pregnant with my son in 2004. I have no doubt that the first boil which appeared in my groin area was the result of exposure during one of frequent visits to my OB. The boil was half dollar sized, and I let it run its natural course of coming to head and rupturing. It healed by the time I delivered my son January of 2005. At that point I had never heard of MRSA.

Fast forward to November 2006, and I start feeling a hard spot with pain in my groin, opposite from where the original boil was located a year prior. This time I thought I was going to die. It grew to plum size within a week, and I began to have major back and foot pain from walking strange to compensate for the pain. (As a very modest and stubborn girl, I refused to go to the doctor) On the day I thought I might have to make an appointment because I was "dying" I read about Drawing Salve / Black Salve / Icthammol. The girl behind the pharmacy counter knew exactly what I wanted and said it would help without me even telling her what was wrong. It did make the boil rupture just a few hours after application and the pain was over. I watched this thing drain for about an hour making sure I did not contaminate the house, and I watched the "head" or "core" come out before treating with topical MRSA ointment. and throwing out the towels. Exactly a month later boil number two appeared in same general area but a bit smaller. Used Drawing Salve again. One month later boil number three appeared a bit smaller than before. Used drawing salve, but read about turmeric. One month later, (NOW) I felt boil number four, same area as three prior, coming on well ahead of time. (Believe me, you learn the little "itch/tickle" before you can even see or feel it.) Started RIGOROUS turmeric therapy immediately. (FOUR 450mg Turmeric capsules 3x per day with my meal to combat upset stomach) "Kamikaze" turmeric therapy combined with antibacterial soap twice or more daily, topical MRSA ointment (I can only find this at local HEB grocery stores) this thing did not grow larger than a dime, never hurt, never got fever in the area or even pinched. It is now 5 days later, I can no longer feel the small dime sized hard spot, and I am so happy I decided to try the Turmeric before the Salve! I am going to continue the four turmerics until tomorrow, go down to three, then two, then one until I can get down to one per day. I will probably take one per day for the rest of my life, and more again if I feel a little bump coming. It is a good appetite suppressant, and does a good job keeping my congestion at bay as it is now allergy season in Texas. I only notice a little tummy ache when I take the mega dose, but not if I eat, and I can smell a bit spicy when I am working out and sweating. Thanks to all for their testimonials."

[YEA]  01/29/2007: Anita from Bowie, Maryland writes: "I wanted to report back on using the turmeric spice to clear my daughter of her MRSA infection. My 7 year old daughter has had 3 MRSA infections over the past 4-5 months. Doctors have treated her with bactrim and clindamycin in the past. I wanted to try a natural solution, since I know the infection can easily build up a resistance to antibiotics. So, after searching the net, I came upon this site. Thank you so much! My daughter's boils cleared and drained within a couple of days after giving her the spice. I purchased the pure spice and mixed it with juice and also gave her some of the 450mg pills. She seems to be clear of the infection (we have a follow-up appointment this week). I would recommend using turmeric as an alternative or in addition to antibiotics to clear this infection. Thanks again!"

[YEA]  01/25/2007: Bobbi from Chicago, IL writes: "Chicago, Illinois
Nov 2006-Jan 2007. USA, Bobbi

I have had many infections of boils mainly in midlife. I have had some lanced by a dermatologist in their office, and was given antibiotics for them. In 2001 I had a really bad one on top of my butt cheek which was painful and deep, and wouldn't drain. I ended up going to the hospital emergency room for that one and an intern dug deep and lanced that one and sent me home. Within a week I developed 7 more on my body in places I'd never had a boil before, and was gradually getting very sick. I was admitted to the hospital and this time they took me to the operating room, cut them all out, packed them with gauze dressings, and told me it was an MRSA staff infection, normally only caught in Hospitals and Nursing homes. The contagious disease control people were on my case, as many as 12 interns were brought in to look at my wounds. I was given Vancomycin intravenously, was told this was the only antibiotic strong enough to fight this infection, and after being on it for only a few days, I developed an allergy to it and had to be taken off of it. Then they put me on something else. After 2 weeks in the hospital, I was allowed to go home with a shunt in my veins to the heart and at home intravenous and nursing care every day to pack and change my dressings. I now have 7 really ugly scars from that adventure as a reminder. I never sued the hospital, even though I believe that I had a staff infection, that became worse by lancing it in the non germ free emergency room. At any rate that's the history, now for the more recent. I recently, around early November 2006, until Christmas 2006 was over, began to get some more boils. Because of the holidays, I left them go until they were over, but by Christmas I had one the size of a tangerine on my inner thigh causing me a lot of discomfort (I could barely sit or move about); one about an inch or so from that one about the size of a 50 cent piece, another one a couple inches away from that one about the size of a dime, and also one on my pubic area the size of a pea. For me, the thought of having ANYTHING lanced anywhere was horrible, so I began searching the web for possible answers or alternative ideas on what to do. I stumbled across this website (Thank GOD!), and began to read about Turmeric. When so many people seemed to think it worked for them, I decided I would give it a try. Here's the funniest part, and one that some of your readers may go through as well, so be prepared. When I asked my partner to go and ask the pharmacist if they carried it, the guy said "why didn't she call me herself? Does she want some snake oil too?" And proceeded to sell my partner drawing salve. We had a very BIG fight over this, and I finally had a friend of mine go to a health supplement store, and purchase the Turmeric. I bought the capsules, 500 MG Turmeric Curcumin, and took them 3X per day. (Drawing salve did NOTHING). But on Turmeric, within 3 or 4 days, I started to see a difference. It won't be overnight, because it took a while to develop these in the first place, so it will take about the same amount of time for them to be gone completely. In my case total time was 18 days on Turmeric. The largest one did start to drain before taking, none of the others ever did. Because of the draining, I kept that one covered with bandages everyday, and put some triple antibiotic ointment on only that one because it was open. Now keep in mind when I say 18 days, that's to the point where the skin is back to normal. The shrinking happens daily, each day, getting much better after the first few days. I want to thank whoever is responsible for this web site, and for the information I received. I would recommend Turmeric highly to anyone, with a boil or MRSA, and perhaps they could avoid going through what I did the first time around. One more thing. This last episode, I was never cultured for MRSA, so not sure what type of staff I had this time, but I do believe this is a miracle working herbal supplement and it would work on any staff infection or healing process. Because I didn't know what type of staff infection I had, I would suggest if you live with others in the same household, that every time you use the toilet, keep disinfectant wipes or spray nearby, and wipe the seat each and every time you sat down, so that it doesn't spread to the rest of the family. I did this and nobody else got a boil from me. Anyway thanks again, and for those with boils, don't fret, help is as close as the nearest health supplement store, and get yourself Turmeric ASAP! Also, I will add that anyone who puts fingers in their noses best immediately wash hands with antibacterial soap, as everyone's noses contains staff germs, and all you have to do is itch yourself with unwashed hands, and you have a good chance of developing a boil in that spot! Or touching one draining, same thing, common sense....and one more thing I did, I almost forgot. Because one was draining, when I showered, I used betadine solution over the spots even before drying with a towel, since it's antibacterial, and washed with antibacterial soft soap instead of the bar soap that the rest of the family was using. I sincerely hope this is helpful to some of your readers...again thank you so much!"

[YEA]  01/19/2007: Dave from Phoenix, AZ writes: "I tried the turmeric (started about 24 hours ago), and it worked VERY well. The boil is still there, but the pain is almost all gone, man did that work! I don't think I have MRSA but I do get an occasional boil, this one was up to about golf ball size, so VERY painful, hot, and uncomfortable (antibiotics did not help). Very good cure, I am so happy I found your site."

[YEA]  01/05/2007: Ann from Phoenix, AZ writes: "I kept telling the doctors it was MRSA. They kept telling me it wasn't. I had searched everywhere and came to the conclusion that is was MRSA. I finally convinced them to test me and I was right. At one time I had 14 of them. Under the left armpit, left breast and groin area. Left Leg. Yesterday I started the Turmeric powder. Today the bump is not nearly as hard and I am hoping it takes the tiny spot away on the right breast. There are a lot of break outs here but everyone is believing the doctors when they're told it is a spider bite or cellulitis. I will respond back when I have more information."

[YEA]  01/05/2007: Carolyn from Hollywood, FL writes: "Sorry about my prior blithering. New research indicates that Vancomycin Molecular Weight (MW) is too high (1500 daltons). Guess what? curcumin MW is only 368.39 Fruits and vegetables all have low MWs. Carrots, beets. Ted is eminently correct to use hydrogen peroxide (MW 34.01) in his recommended cleaning solution to kill MRSA bacteria. Research also says MRSA cells have the ability to suddenly build much thicker cell walls if they detect the presence of HIGH MW. But so far, the MRSA cells do not have a defense against LOW MW. I think this is why turmeric works. I am on a vegetarian diet now. I clean my skin and hair with first an iodine wash, which is just a good amount of water and a few drops of tincture of iodine. THEN I rewash the affected areas with a sea salt and water solution. Then I sniff into my nostrils a bit of the sea salt and water solution. Then I gargle with the sea salt and water solution, swishing it around in my mouth as long as possible. If it were not for this wonderful forum advice about turmeric and sea salt, I would be in a dirty hospital ward suffering a lingering death. I hope doctors see this information and correct their MRSA patients' diets to vegetarian foods only until the MRSA is eradicated from their bodies. No sugar, no white bread, no coffee. Encourage their patients to drink more water. Double check the MW of everything the patient receives. I feel much better and I have no boils. Thank you to the owner of this website and to Ted. Ted, please feel free to email me. I know of another very low MW natural antibiotic, but want to talk to you first about it."

01/07/2007: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "Dear Carolyn: Don't feel too confident that your body is alkaline. It isn't. If you can afford an electronic pH pocket meter, which quite accurate, please measure your urine. Tumeric is only a superficial cure, but what is in your blood and how you take care of your blood is very important in stopping the MRSA. Consider adding tumeric to your food. This will help. The second thing that should stop the MRSA from popping up again is to measure the urinary pH. The ideal urine pH should actually be between 7.0 - 7.3. But for normal healthy people it is 6.5 to 7.3. It is very likely that you did not take baking soda 1/4 teaspooon three times a day with 1/2 glass of water on an empty stomach. Or you can try another one that works better: one freshly squeezed lime PLUS add the baking soda until the fizz stops. Take this 2 times a day once in morning and once in the evening. Try to monitor your urinary pH in those region. If the recommended dose has not quite reached that level, you may need to take add more baking soda until you do reach a normal level. If it STILL doesn't go away, the body is experiencing fungus and certain mineral deficiencies. This means add a pinch of borax to the lemon and baking soda formula. The one other deficiency that has to do with the immune system is 25 mg of zinc gluconate once or twice a week. Finally, just to be sure, you might try only once a week iodine foot painting. Just paint a small 3 - 5 inch circle in one of your feet. After 3 or 4 applications (or after 3 or 4 weeks), you may not need it for quite a while. Don't forget to add tumeric to your foods and salads, and not just external applications. This should correct most of the biochemical imbalances in your body. Ted"

Last night, I bought some spice islands turmeric, off the spice isle at the grocery store, and picked up a bottle of CVS brand 1500mg glucosomine tablets Woke up this morning feeling pretty Good, nowhere near the level of Back pain on previous nights I've been experiencing some lumps and pimple like boils under my arm pits lately and had one on my face too I hadn't given it much though, but the boil on my face got me going and I decided to read up using google last night.

Earlier yesterday, I put a Hot compress on my face, and drained that awful boil I knew from previous attemps that it could make it worse, But i went ahead and drained it, and used peroxide by noon I was swelled up pretty good, would you believe this morning the thing is Damn near cleared up, and my Back feels OK for the first time in months I'll follow up after a few days This morning I've made a Tea using the coffee maker I put two constant comment orange pekoe flavored green tea bags into a coffee filter along with a tablespoon of Turmeric powder, and a tablespoon of sugar The tumeric takes some getting used to but the Tea is simply wondeful hate to add sugar but i had too I'm having my scond 12 oz cup of hot green Turmeric tea as I type."

[YEA]  01/03/2007: Lori from Reno, NV writes: "I live in Reno, NV (prior to this YES, LOS ANGELES) but MRSA is RAMPANT in RENO also!!!) Dr. lanced abscess (boil) which was thought by me to be a spider bite (of course, I can't remember being bitten), I used a heating pad & wet washcloth to draw out the puss.vNow, third boil in 2 months, I read your article, marched my unhappy a$$ into the Dr. and told him how sad it is that I must read the internet to get educated on my condition when he went to school for 10 years. I very nicely expressed that he WILL very PAINFULLY cut me open AGAIN and this time his happy a$$ would culture me for MRSA. Needless to say, I got my way, tested positive for MRSA and am taking Bactrim, have iodoform packing sticking out of my back, have been off work (a healthcare setting) for 8 days. While this is horribly painful, nasty and no fun, in perspective of other diseases in society today, I am dealing. Now, on Turmeric. I am SOLD!!!! I bought ground turmeric on the spice shelf in the store and began drinking it in my tea (I like ground better than capsule form, more in a minute). I experience what could be compared to an expectorant in cough medicine. It allows all bound up bodily fluids i.e. phlegm, mucus, puss from boil etc to DRAIN naturally and quickly. The reason I like the ground turmeric better is because it steeps in the tea and helps with the "draining effect". Lastly, I like the strength of the capsule turmeric better 450 mg. So, my new working remedy is to buy the capsules ($3.00 at Wal-Mart for 450mg), make a hot cup of mandarin orange tea (hides the nasty taste), open capsule = concentrated powder 450 mg = stronger dose = more therapeutic = boil drains TONS more & clears when I do this vs. if I only take antibiotics, hardly anything drains!!"

QUESTION - although it is very apparent to me tumeric is wonderful on killing infections and worked quickly has it been proven to kill the MRSA completely in anyone's body or has it just stopped outbreaks?"

Didn't want to take more antibiotics after the large doses to cure my last outbreak. Got cellulitis of my face, after a while it healed and then I immediately got a boil under my arm which was treated for 5 months. Had to get my arm drained 4 times before the staph healed. turmeric is healing whatever it was the beginning of."

[YEA]  12/28/2006: Tony from Montreal, Canada writes: "I'have been fighting boils the last 12 months. 1 after another. I never had them before. Off and on antibiotics, never got rid of them. Tumeric has helped. I'm still a newbie tumeric user. I have been reading about contrails, i wonder if its just jet exaust of all those commercial jets that are multiplying in the skys. Has anyone done a study on the amount of jet fuel by counting the number of flights that are increasing day after day? Perhaps its global warming, even with slight increase in temperatures gives possible rise to the possible spread of deadly bacteria's. I would like the CDC to give the public it works for a possible explanation of this rise in MRSA and other bacterial infections which are obviously exploding throughout our society."

12/28/2006: Carolyn from Hollywood, FL writes: "I think Ted is absolutely correct about alkaline pH of the body. Last night, I stupidly ate some white bread. This morning, I had a small nosebleed and YES, there they were, a cluster of wannabe tiny boils on my chin. So, I RAN to get the turmeric going again. I did put some iodine and then clean it off and put some Hydrogen Peroxide on the tiny boils, but I think turmeric is the key because it makes the body alkaline as Ted suggests. This is the way to control MRSA I think. I have only my own MRSA boils to tell me and yours may be a different strain of MRSA, but please try the remedies set out in this wonderful website. I am going to buy some pH strips and start testing my urine and saliva as Ted says he does, in order to determine what level of alkalinity my body needs to be able to control MRSA. I do not think we can kill it, but if we can control it and maybe make it dormant, that is a huge step forward. Here in South Florida, MRSA is rampant... I have a website where I am doing my best to teach people in French and Spanish also... God bless the owners of this wonderful website and God Bless Ted for contributing. I think you saved me from possible dire consequences."

[YEA]  12/12/2006: Annette from Elon, NC writes: "Several months ago my daughter had what we thought was a spider bite on her leg. A few days later while spending the weekend at her grandfathers' the pimple burst and started bleeding. When I got there it was hard and terrible looking, so we took her to the emergency room and discovered later from the culture that is was MRSA. The dr. gave her an antibiotic and it cleared up in less than a week. Well, last week my son discovered a pimple- like sore on his hip and after a few days of neosporin I could tell from the way it was acting that we had another case of MRSA on our hands. However, I was reluctant to go the antibiotic route again since the over-prescribing of antibiotics is a big part of the problem to begin with, so I decided to try the turmeric instead. That was a week and a half ago, and although it is taking longer to work than my daughter's antibiotic did, I'm happy to report that it is clearing up nicely."

[YEA]  12/01/2006: Elle from Ventura, CA writes: "All my life I have been blessed with clear skin. Approximately 1 1/2 yrs. ago, I noticed a tiny pimple on the left side of my face on the jawline. Thinking that one pull of the hair follicle would help get rid of it faster, it only got worse. As time passed, it kept growing until it reached the size of a dime. It was callous and rough, so I thought perhaps Eczema might be the case (given I have been treated for it in the years prior). It got infected several times over the course of time, and the possibility that it could be Staph came to mind a couple of times. I didn't have medical insurance so I never made the attempt to see a doctor. I just kept hoping that it would just disappear... It didn't and this was depressing; and I mean, I was falling into a severe state of depression. Day after day I would absent mindedly pick at it hoping it would get smaller when in fact, would just get bigger more irritated. It wasn't until recently one evening in particular I felt ill. This lesion on my face was the biggest I had seen yet and sooooo painful. I felt dizzy, feverish, achy. I decided to drive myself to the local emergency room and have it looked at. Thank the Lord Almighty I did! At first I was told it was cellulitis and that I needed antibiotics immediately. So he treated me with an injection as well as an oral that night. He instructed me to come back in two days for follow up. The culture came back as MRSA. He didn't give me specifics on the condition, just told me I was extremely contagious, to keep it covered with clean dressings at all times, and not to be around anyone for a couple of days. As he started to insert the drainage packing he said,"Oh, you have a sebaceous cyst." He fixed me up, I got home, and I did my homework on cysts, MRSA, and boils. Learned a lot, and focused on getting better. As soon as I finished my antibiotics, I got three more cysts (smaller in size) on the other side of my face. I just about lost it. Then... I found this site. I have been praying for God's help and as always, He answered by leading me here. I have been taking 1 tbsp. Turmeric in 1/2 cup of warm water 3 times a day (I saw this in someone else's thread). I am on 4th day and it is working! The infection is clearing up, NO MORE PUS. I am actually healing!. I have also been taking a couple of swigs of Apple Cider Vinegar in the mornings and evenings in which seems to be helping too. I can't believe items such as these are so beneficial! I thank you for this website, it has given me hope! Thank you thank you! Instead of going ballistic, I have gone Holistic!"

TURMERIC, MANUKA, TEA TREE OIL, GSE

[YEA]  10/23/2008: Eden from Tampa, FL writes: "MRSA Treatment -- I just wanted to help others that have contracted MRSA by telling them what worked for me:

People seem to think that MRSA only happens in hospitals and unclean environments - think again. I'm clean, and I'm healthy. I am a professional athlete, and I contracted MRSA somehow after I fell and injured myself (road rash). I noticed I started developing a boil on my arm. It just got bigger and bigger, until my whole lower arm started to swell. I went to the ER and got a shot of antibiotics - the swelling started going down. When I got home, I went to my dr. and had the boil swabbed - tested postive for MRSA. I was prescribed 10 days of Bactrim and Bactroban antibiotic. The boil cleared up, but less than a month later I broke out with boils again. The prescribed antibiotic did not help. After reading Earthclinic, I tried the following things, and have not had an outbreak since. Turmeric (oral), Manuka Honey (oral and on the boils), Tea tree oil (nostrils and boils), and Grapefruit Seed Extract (oral). I have discontinued use of everything except the GSE - I still take 5 drops daily. For those of you reading this - don't be discouraged - take care of your body, be vigilant and you can defeat this. VITAMIN C

[YEA]  01/27/2008: Tera from Duvall, WA writes: "Vitamin C is how I have been keeping MRSA at bay. A life saver. I take 2000-3000 mg a day. I also make sure I get at least 7 hrs of sleep a night and am trying to keep my stress level low. If I get a bump of any kind I put a band aid with triple antibiotic on it and increase the vitamin C dose to 6000-8000 per day. Your body does not store it but your stomach will tell you when you have had enough. I use the powdered one that you put in water and have had little trouble. This works well because I just make sure it is in my water bottle at all times when I have an outbreak. The outbreaks come when I let things slide and try to run on 5 hours of sleep or quit taking the' vitamin C . I have done quite a bit of research on MRSA/Staph and it's all about your immune system. Stands to reason that if you build up your immune system so your body can fight off the infection it will do just that. Seems to be working great!"

VOLCANIC CLAY

1 YEA

[YEA]  11/01/2007: Tony from Montreal, Canada writes: "http://www.dailyindia.com/show/186700.php/Volcanic-clay-found-to-kill-99-per-cent-of-MRSA-superbugs

London, October 29: Dirt that originated in French volcanoes has the potential to kill up to 99 per cent of colonies of bugs like MRSA and E coli within 24 hours, say scientists.

The researchers believe that agricur, found in the Massif Central mountain range, may pave the way for the creation of antibiotics to which superbugs have no resistance.

They said that the clay was found to wipe out bug colonies in a day during laboratory experiments. They also revealed that control samples of MRSA, which were not treated with agricur, grew 45-fold over the same period.

Other deadly bacteria such as salmonella and a flesh-eating disease called buruli, which is a relative of leprosy, were killed by the clay during the experiments.

It was French doctor Line Brunet de Course who first discovered the healing properties of French green clays, mostly made of minerals called smectite and illite. She used it to fight buruli at clinics in Ivory Coast and Guinea.

The World health Organisation welcomed her work when she approached it in 2002 with 50 case studies. However, it denied her funding because of a lack of scientific evidence.

Brunet de Course's son Thierry searched for scientists willing to test agricur after his mother's death, and found an associate in Dr Lynda Williams of Arizona State University, a specialist in the study of clay.

Dr. Williams and her colleague Dr Shelley Haydel will presented their findings about agricur and other clays to the Geological Society of America's annual meeting in Denver.

The scientists are still unclear as to how agricur treats MRSA and other infections. They believe that the efficacy of agricur in treating superbugs may be based on the involvement of more than one component.

"We have found several anti-bacterial clays that appear to transfer unidentified elements to the bacteria that impede their metabolic function," the Daily Mail quoted Dr Williams, a minerals expert, as saying.

"It is possible that it is not one single element that is toxic to the bacteria, but a combination of elements and chemical conditions that attack the bacteria from different angles so as to overwhelm their defence systems," she added.

The researchers also backed the possibility that the clay worked through a physical rather than a biochemical process, meaning that bacteria could never develop resistance. "It's fascinating. Here we are bridging geology, microbiology, cell biology. A year ago, I'd look at the clay and say, 'Well, that's dirt,'" Dr Haydel, a microbiologist, said.""

05/23/2008: Peter from London, UK replies: "Hi, Do you know where to buy AGRICUR? Amazon has no. Others sites have green clay but no AGRICUR. Thanks.
Nice regards. P."

EC: Yunnan Baiyao also known as Yunnan Paiyao is a hemostatic powdered medicine famous for being carried by the Vietcong to stop bleeding during the Vietnam War.

Although its main ingredients are steamed and raw Sanqi (Tienchi ginseng, Notoginseng roots of Panax pseudoginseng) used to normalize blood flow, enhance poor circulation and heal internal bleeding in injuries and bleeding ulcers, and Rhizoma Dioscoreae [5], The two tienchi ginsengs are combined with astringent herbs that absorb excess bleeding, invigorate the blood and enhance healing including myrrh and "dragon's blood" another resinous herb for internal bleeding.[6]
