I had a surgery previously which was infected with MRSA but apparently cured. The Doctors said the boils did not come from the MRSA from the surgery but the boils were infected with MRSA

Did you injure or cut yourself outside before the boil appeared? Or, did the boil appear in an area that had previously been cut or injured? no, but a cyst erupted, and then it turned into 3 large abscesses. Now many (perhaps a few dozen) abscesses are growing, all on my face.
Did you travel to any cities or countries recently? If so, which ones? If yes, how soon after did your boil appear? I live in San Diego. I was in Dallas when the abscesses first appeared. I was back in San Diego when the multitude of abscesses first appeared. Both occured after heavy rainfalls.

Date the First Boil Appeared: Last winter, winter 2006. (sorry I can't be more exact but I just found your site and have been fighting boils and staph for the last year.)

What was your diet the days leading up to your first boil? Were you eating differently than normal? No eating normal food, and even when I tryed refining my diet to eleminate toxins my boils continued and even got worse.

Date the First Boil Appeared: My first boil appeared on my face in April of 2005. However, I believe there were boils in my ears previously. Over the past 2 years I have had nearly 30, yes 30 boils, over areas including neck, back, buttocks, face, ears, and hair-line.

I assumed that my outbreak of boils started from the hospital that my brother worked at. I was residing with him at the time, and he developed his first boil on his nose. Three months later, mine started. My 17 year-old son, who also lived with us developed what I believe was a boil on his leg. My neice, who moved in with her Dad last year, developed her first boil under her armpit, and a month later, she developed her second one in the same location. My grand-daughter, who is know 18 months old, developed her first boil last year, and she is currently being treated for one on her buttocks. I am concerned. Let's communicate and help each other with this epidemic. Further information can be said about my prolonged case of boils.

ASK THESE PEOPLE, IF THEY HAD ROOT CANALS OR METAL PLACED INTO THEIR MOUTHS. STEP COMES FROM A TOOTH THAT HAD A ROOT CANAL DONE ON IT. AS THIS BACTERIA IS UNDER THE TUBEL ON THE TOOTH. What was your diet the days leading up to your first boil? Were you eating differently than normal? Just less was preparing for outpatient breast biopsy. No differentiation in foods.
Did you injure or cut yourself outside before the boil appeared? Or, did the boil appear in an area that had previously been cut or injured? No, I was not injured at all. It came up a few days after my outpatient surgery.

Were you in a hospital or doctor's office before getting the first boil? If yes, how soon after did your boil appear? Yes, I had a "minor" breast biopsy and there were complications during the proceedure with placing the clip. The swelling and itching began within a few days.

Antibiotics, steroids, hydroxine, all the 'ine's. 14 antibiotics, 4 repetetive creams and it is worse. cannot get relief. effecting mental well being. the itching and burning is unbearable. i am not functioning on a daily basis.

What was your diet the days leading up to your first boil? Were you eating differently than normal? I was on a calorie counting diet. It was basically Weight Watcher with lots of vegetables and fruits. I was eating more vegetables than I normally do. I was also eating boiled eggs-2 a day.

Was it raining or snowing a day or two before the first boil appeared? If yes, exactly how many days? There was a tiny bit of rain ... lots of wind and few spits and drizzles ... the day before, that is, April 16th, 2007. My boil appeared a day after, possibly less than 24 hours.
What was your diet the days leading up to your first boil? Were you eating differently than normal? My diet has recently changed. During Lent I gave up soda which I have lightly encorporated back into my diet. Other than that, I really haven't changed my diet. I eat less now that I am back in school because of the time crunch though.
Did you injure or cut yourself outside before the boil appeared? Or, did the boil appear in an area that had previously been cut or injured? My boil appeared where I believe either I had a pimple or an infected hair folicle. I believe it was a hair folicle because it remained longer than a pimple and did not get worse, just stayed there. It was dark blue/purple, more like a bruise, less like acne.
Did you travel to any cities or countries recently? If so, which ones? If yes, how soon after did your boil appear? Actually, yes. I returned from San Diego, CA five days before my boil showed up. There's was a wind storm in CA as well, and the air was really dirty, not to mention polluted.

Was the person using antibacterial soap or hand sanitizer at the time of the outbreak? I think you are overlooking this trend of person's tring to be "too clean" and the end results are bodies unable to fight off naturally occuring bacteria and viruses that normally our skin would protect us from.

I always get these 2 boils in the same spot; on my upper leg, on both legs, and thats it....Since the onset of these 2 boils, I have been diagnosed with type II diabetes, asthma, and HPV, which I often wonder if the HPV doesn't have something to do with it?? Now my immune system is always in jeopardy. I have noticed when these 2 boils appear, it is always without warning...like in hours time, and I use my differin cream every nite on these 2 areas, and take 200 mg doxycycline everyday, and yet I continue to be burdened with this condition; Any idea why?? The doctors can't seem to figure anything out...I've seen 2 different dermatologists, and have had a few lanced, which is NOT a fun ride, so now I just apply HOT compresses to the area until I get the thing to break open. Any help here would be appreciated please.

I was having unprotected sex for several days back to back. I developed a sort of rash similar to jock itch under my Penis. I am assuming because I was having rough sex.

Were you in a hospital or doctor's office before getting the first boil? If yes, how soon after did your boil appear? I went to the doctor's office after I saw the boil and it was VERY painful. There was one on my upper thigh and on my buttocks. I thought I had an STD. I went to the doctor and they did STD tests and an HIV test and everything was NEGATIVE. The doctor suggested it was MRSA and took a sample of one boil and surely enough it was MRSA. I took antibiotics for 10 days (forgot the long name of it) and also got some Bactroban cream. The boils are gone and no longer painful although you can still see where they once were (small rash) which I am still applying the Bactroban cream to make sure it goes all away. I am just hoping it never returns.

At least two flights leave Robins AFB daily taking soliders to Iraq. And at least one flight comes back weekly returning soliders from Iraq.

It's not a STD but if you rub on someone closely that might be infected and doesn't even know it, you can catch it. I think you (EARTH CLINIC) should ask if the person has had sex recently as a question because that has a large effect on MRSA. I think because of me having unprotected rough sex for a week straight caused me to get that rash on the bottom of my Penis (from rough sex) which is kind of a wound, then once I had sex after that rash appeared, I got infected with MRSA.

About a month later another painful pimple/boil on my temple next to the eyelid area. Both were bad enough that they scarred. Now I have a painful boil on my inner thigh.

To me this supports the theory that boils are being caused by the environment. I thought so before I even read your website.

The previous week, I had missed a day of work due to a "tummy bug". This is my nephews' first year in preschool (they are 3 & 5 now) and I feel like I've been almost constantly fighting something or another since they started in August.

My boil is located on my lower back, near my waistline, about 2-3 inches to the right of my spine. The actual "boil" itself is probably about 1.5" in diameter, but the sensitive/reddened area is probably about 6-7" in diameter. There is also a scab about the size of a pencil eraser in the center of the boil. I have begun using some of the treatments I have found on this site. I did an epsom salt bath/soak last night, and then put iodine on it. This morning I did a hot compress and then did more iodine. Unfortunately, it is in a very bad spot because my clothing irritates it constantly, and sitting or even walking is painful to it.
